We presently have
two donkeys, Bridget and Petunia,
who were surrendered by families who
could no longer keep them. Donkeys
belong to the equine family. Compared
to a horse, a donkey's ears are much
longer and they lack the deep dip in
their back. The mane and tail
in a donkey is coarse. The mane is
stiff and upright, rarely laying over
and the tail is more like a cow's,
covered with short body hair for most
of the length. Bridget and Petunia
both have gray-colored coats.
They are good natured, follow
you like puppies, and enjoy apples.
They also like to be brushed.
